I bought this CD not long after I got pregnant. It soothed my fears of giving birth (which did not involve surgery but is a traumatic thing to the body and body hormones) and helped keep my hormones level during and after pregnancy. Based on this, I would suggest a person try the CD if wishing to overcome an actual surgery.
